‘Education should be a tool accessible to everyone, for a better tomorrow.’

Having felt a real connection with Southern India when I have visited and seen first-hand the poverty which exists; I have spent time considering how best to strengthen my commitment to this community. I wanted to support a project more local to the area where the women whom I work with live. Having researched and visited charitable organisations I have decided to support the work of Community Seva Centre.
Children eating in the dining hall
The area is largely rural, and this organisation works to help develop communities within these areas. They work within nurseries, schools, and colleges to provide children and young people with the tools and skills that they need to build a better future for themselves and their communities. They have built schools for children and developed livelihood programmes for adults to help eradicate child marriages and reduce poor socio-economic status. The programmes run include: 175 self-help groups (offering training in a variety of areas), family counselling, training, healthcare, skills development and awareness programmes for women and mothers.
 community outreach work
CSV believes that every human should be able to choose their future, and that’s why, especially in tribal areas where child labour is still widely spread, they work to break the cycle by providing children with the right to their childhood and therefore an education.
 providing food to children
I hope that this has provided an insight into where £1 from every item you purchase is going. It is giving back and helping to support a vision for a fairer society. I have made a commitment to create a sustainable flow of giving to this community rather than asking for donations. However, some of you may have noticed that there is now an option at checkout to add a donation with your order. This will be sent directly to the Community Seva Centre who will use your donation to support the children and families that they are working with. Facilitating change, providing opportunities, education, skills development, and food, in order to improve lives and benefit the community as a whole.

Thank you so much for your continued support.

xx
